Sunday, July 2, Team Nekst IT is riding La Marmotte edition 2017. What is La Marmotte, why Team Nekst IT and who does Team Nekst IT consist of?
La Marmotte is a Cyclosportive that has been run every year in the French Alps since 1982 and can be compared to a tough tour stage. The ride, which has a total length of 174 km and 5000 altimeters, goes over four cols, three of which are labeled as out-of-category in the Tour de France. During this tour, you climb successively the Col du Glandon, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier and finish at the top of the infamous Alpe d’Huez. It is mainly these high-profile climbs that give the Marmotte its heroic status.
If you get it into your head to ride this tour then you are sporty, dare to dream, set goals, push boundaries, have the ambition to get the most out of yourself and want to go to the extreme. The best part of this adventure is that you don’t do all this alone but with your ‘team mates’ you literally build together, set goals together, make the essential preparations together, help each other, motivate each other, make each other better and live towards this achievement.
