That we at Nekst IT are not only crazy about Testing but also crazy about cycling is no doubt no longer news ;). This is obviously because we have some real #cyclingaddicts on board but also because we have been the proud sponsor of the Nekst IT Cycling Team for over a year now. This team was born out of friendship, a shared passion for cycling and taking on challenges together, culminating last year in the completion of La Marmotte Alpes 2017.
The Nekst IT Cycling Team is growing and developing, just like the way of training, the level of dedication, the dreams, ambitions and goals set. The best part of it all is building the team and everyone’s development together. This not only means challenging, motivating, improving and pushing each other to the maximum, but also taking care of each other, making the essential preparations together, looking forward to and enjoying the planned challenges.
Over the past few months, the Nekst IT Cycling Team has already conquered various cool and international challenges, such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège (BE), Nove Colli (IT), Jean Nelissen Classic (LUX) and the Midsummer Challenge (NED). Yes it’s really true….Gran Fondo cycling is both grueling and addictive and that’s why it’s going to happen again this year and why the Nekst IT Cycling team is riding La Marmotte Alpes edition 2018 this Sunday, July 8.
What is La Marmotte Alpes again? La Marmotte Alpes is a Cyclosportive that has been run every year in the French Alps since 1982 and can be compared to a tough tour stage. The ride, which has a total length of 174 km and 5000 altimeters, goes over four cols, three of which are labeled as out-of-category in the Tour. The route climbs successively the Col du Glandon, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier and finishes at the top of the infamous Alpe d’Huez. In other words; a Gran Fondo with heroic status that every cycling fanatic should ride once in a lifetime:).
From Nekst IT, we see many similarities between Testing Excellence and Cycling Excellence. Such as determining the essential requirements, setting challenging goals, tracking and resolving bugs before the ‘go live’ and an efficient working chain in terms of preparation, people and material. Within Nekst IT, we build together, we dare to dream, to set ambitious goals, continuous development is paramount and we go for maximum results. In other words; Nekst IT is, lives and represents all the essential characteristics necessary for Excellence, both in Testing and Cycling and that is why we sponsor and support this team of top athletes!
