What a party that was! Nekst IT received a HIGH VISIT today. None other than Sinterklaas, PartyPiet and PuzzelPiet paid a visit to the employees of Nekst IT and their lovely children in the Agnietenhof Theatre.
There was dancing and laughing as PartyPiet warmed up the room. We were allowed to rehearse a short song to welcome Sinterklaas and everyone could show how beautifully they were dressed and what drawings they had made for Sinterklaas.
There were also pranks and jokes! Not by the sweet children, but by the mischievous PartyPiet! She is the DOL of confetti and even secretly perforated the remains of the drawings made for St. Nicholas! PuzzlePiet called the inexplicable holes in the drawings “pointilism”. But oh no, Sinterklaas never likes that, does he, PartyPiet? Perforating drawings for confetti is NOT allowed.
With some magic from the children AND some confetti from PartyPiet, PuzzelPiet conjured up a box of meringues. Only they were not edible meringues! Naughty PartyPiet had snuck a few into his mouth. What happened next is shown in the picture. A long garland came out of her mouth. That was no fun!
PuzzelPiet also taught the children the technique of sprinkling. Not overhand, but underhand! Questions could be asked to Sinterklaas, and in the end, Sinterklaas distributed his gifts to all the children! With their hands full of sprinkles, a beautiful coloring book, a gift and a chocolate letter for the road, the children said goodbye to Sinterklaas and his helpers.
