Sometimes you have those special perks when your employer also has an office in Spain where you can work. So two members of our Nekst team -Debby and Birgit- recently got to soak up the sun and get some work done in one of the most beautiful places in Spain.
At Nekst, we believe in embracing opportunities for growth and exploration, even in our work routines. Birgit and Debby embarked on an energizing and sunny workation in Marbella, in Nekst-style. They seamlessly blended work and leisure against the backdrop of stunning Spanish landscapes.
First off, the mornings were pure magic as they sipped their coffee and watched the sunrise over Marbella. Sometimes they’d take a stroll along the boulevard, while other times they’d just chill on the balcony and enjoy the view. Moving their workspace to the balcony, the Spanish sun and vibes gave them all the energy they needed to crush their tasks. They even finished some Provar certificates! Well done, ladies.
In the spirit of exploration, they seized opportunities to immerse themselves in the local culture. Joining the festivities of Día de Andalucía at San Pedro’s village square, they reveled in the rhythms of live rock bands, igniting their evenings with laughter and joy. Facilitates and accompanied by the friendly hosts of Holland House Marbella.
On the weekend, they took full advantage of their time off and headed to Tarifa, the southernmost point of Europe. From witnessing the silhouette of Africa on the horizon to traversing the scenic trails of Parque Natural “Los Alcornocales,” each moment was imbued with a sense of wonder and adventure. It perfectly matched the characters of Birgit and Debby! They hiked, explored, and chilled at Marbella’s harbor. It was the perfect mix of business and pleasure.
In retrospect, their week in Marbella encapsulated the essence of the Nekst core values: being energetic in their work endeavors and exploring new horizons both personally, globally, and professionally! As they return to their daily routines, Birgit and Debby carry with them the memories and lessons learned from this workation experience in the Spanish Nekst Office.
