We Are Proud to Introduce You to the Nekst Champ, Our Own Champ, the Test Monkey!
You may have heard of it: Monkey Testing. Monkey Testing is a software testing technique where you enter arbitrary inputs into the software application, without predefined test cases, thereby checking the behavior of the software application. A similarity between the field of software testing and monkey testing is that both focus on improving the quality of the software.
Software testing is the process of checking and evaluating software to determine whether it meets its requirements and specifications. This is done through planned and structured testing activities, using different techniques and methods to detect and report defects and errors in the software.
Monkey testing, on the other hand, is an unstructured and random way of testing, where the software is exposed to different types of inputs and actions to see how the software reacts to them. The purpose of Monkey Testing is to detect unexpected bugs and vulnerabilities in the software that might otherwise be overlooked in scheduled testing.
But Testers Are Obviously Not Monkeys
Although they do have some of the same traits, including intelligence, creativity, and curiosity. And that’s where Nekst IT’s expertise comes into play! The software testers / QA consultants of Nekst IT are also very curious, smart, creative and investigative, but above all specialized in delivering quality. They use these properties on a daily basis to provide added value for and at our customers. But above all to make the quality of software a little better every day.
It’s challenging to be able to demonstrate quality because it is not tangible. To make this more visual, we have developed a mascot that will provide more awareness for software testing and Quality Assurance and that will demonstrate the importance of quality in software. Based on that need, development and insights, the Nekst IT mascot Champ – The Test Monkey was born! Welcome Champ!
