On May 31st, we had the pleasure of hosting 50 enthusiastic guests at this year’s Nekst IT Cycling event in Tiel. This year was extra special as we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Nekst IT, and it also marked the 5th anniversary of our Nekst IT Cycling Event.
To mark this double festive occasion, we expanded our usual single (but always awesome!) road bike clinic to include two extra clinics: BMX and cyclocross. These three clinics provided participants with the opportunity to hone their skills, try new cycling disciplines, and connect with fellow cycling enthusiasts.
The event kicked off with two captivating presentations. Dimitri Fioole (Nekst IT) started with a presentation celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Nekst IT. He highlighted our expertise, focusing on our Salesforce capabilities and future plans. Dimitri’s insights provided a deeper understanding of our journey and achievements over the past decade. And of course we’ll keep you posted on all the insights as well. 🙂
Joost Leenders (the Talent Academy Group) followed, sharing some remarkable stories you won’t hear in the news, involving figures like Esther Vergeer, Bill Gates, Hakim Ziyech, Rafael Nadal, and cycling star Primož Roglič. He emphasized the importance of always talking about your goals, the 20-80 rule, and knowing what your 20% is. Joost also discussed the Tour de France, the Yellow Jersey ambitions, strategies and tactics, and the significance of understanding who you are under pressure. Super fascinating!
And then… it was time for some FUN on the bikes! The groups split up and were challenged to go beyond their comfort zones, resulting in epic photos, focused faces, and big smiles. After almost two hours, it was time to relax, take a shower, enjoy drinks at the bar, and get a massage if needed. Quality assurance, as we call it at Nekst IT. 😊
The day was filled with excitement, learning, and connection, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. The BBQ was tasty as always, and there were plenty of networking opportunities with like-minded individuals. Even with the rain pouring down during the BBQ, our spirits remained high. After a long and intense day, our guests went home happy about what they had learned and experienced.
As the saying goes, “After rain comes sunshine,” and this was certainly true for our event. We are very proud of all our guests and hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this year’s Nekst IT Cycling event. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
