Exploring the Future at Test Automation Days

Four of our Test Automation Architects had the privilege of attending this year’s Test Automation Days conference, an event aimed at broadening our perspectives and enriching our expertise in the field. This year’s theme, “Reframing Test Automation,” promised a lot of interesting topics and innovative ideas. With the industry constantly evolving, this event offered an opportunity to learn directly from experts in our field, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of test automation practices. 

The conference covered a wide array of topics about the current state and future of test automation. One of the key notes delved into autonomous testing, highlighting how AI can drive greater efficiency and accuracy. We explored adaptive test strategies, accelerating software delivery, and microservice test strategies, all of which are essential for navigating today’s complex software environments. AI’s role was a recurrent theme, with discussions on its application in bug management, visual testing, accessibility testing, and test case creation. Beyond the technical, the conference also addressed broader themes like career development, fostering a strong test automation culture, the “golden age” of testing, and the sustainability impacts of our practices. 

Overall, the Test Automation Days conference was a rewarding experience. It was not only fun to attend but also invaluable for teambuilding and exchanging ideas with fellow professionals in the field. The insights gained from the speakers offer new perspectives and practical strategies that we take with us in our daily assignments. On the other hand, it also confirmed that we as Nekst IT are on the right track with our test automation efforts.
